about Emily
Hi! My name is Emily and I’m a high school junior in Northern California. I’m particularly interested in social sciences such as sociology, psychology, and history. My favorite class of all time was a course that I took in my freshman year of high school: AP Human Geography, which explores the interrelationship between people and their environment.
Aside from academics I hold various leadership positions at school such as student officer, Link Crew leader, and UNICEF vice president. Additionally, I have experience tutoring English learners in math and English. These students, who I taught for a period of weeks or even years, have made a tremendous impact on me and compelled me to continue. I’m conversational in Cantonese and Mandarin and I'm more than happy to assist English learners from all backgrounds and skill levels!
