Our Sessions

Tutoring

  • Ages 6 to 18 Years
  • 30-60 minutes

In these sessions, we help with homework and other school assignments. For students with limited English skills, we provide a translator to assist you in these sessions. In this video, Alexander works with a student on her math assignment.

Hangouts

  • Ages 6 to 18 Years
  • 60 minutes

In Hangout sessions, we help students build English fluency, gain confidence in speaking with others, and provide a much needed social connection. We play games (Uno, pictionary, 20 questions, Would You Rather), share music, and joke around. These sessions are a LOT of fun! Feel free to partner with a friend in leading a hangout session. The commaraderie sets a great tone, takes the pressure off of the student, and increases the amount of laughter for everyone. In this video, Avery and Nohemi partner up to hangout with an 11th grader who moved to the US 2 months prior.

eStudyHall

  • Ages 12 to 18 Years
  • Drop-in

In eStudyHall sessions we allow students to drop in for help as needed. These sessions are for ninja tutors who like the variety that comes from working with students who pop in to receive help on their particular subject and then disappear.
